Summary of the issue
Earlier this year schools may have followed guidance on how they can use SIMS to collate and submit the Centre Assessed Grades (CAG) from teachers to the Awarding Organisations. This process will have meant that the CAGs for GCSE (or similar) will be saved against the result grades Aspects.
We would like to just raise awareness that:
If you have had students who have had a CAG submitted (using this methodology) and you are no longer expecting a final result for them, for example they have since then been withdrawn from the course, unless the CAG is deleted from the result aspect , this will appear in the Candidate Statement of Results, any Performance Indicator Reports and any further related analysis you may perform using this data, i.e. SISRA or 4Matrix applications.
When importing the result file on the 19th August, the incoming results will overwrite those CAGs that were entered in this way into the result aspects earlier this year.
Users are encouraged to play close attention to the import logs to ensure that all the grades are imported with no issues and if any issues do arise, that the import activity log is copied or saved and used as evidence when logging a call with the Service Desk.
